(Items on the consent agenda were approved in City Council committees to be placed on the consent agenda to save time at Council meetings by voting on them as a package.     Authorize the Mayor to sign a three year contract with Opportunity Resources Inc. of Missoula, Montana to provide janitorial services to the city shops and street department facilities at 1305 Scott St. at an annual cost of $14,446.86.

  • Recommended motion:

    Approve an exemption to Missoula Municipal Code (MMC) Chapter 9.30 entitled “Noise Control,” to permit relief in accordance with section 9.30.070, entitled “Permit for relief from noise level,” from specified levels during the REED Condominium construction project.

  • Recommended motion:

    Approve and authorize the Mayor to sign a professional service agreement with IMEG for the lower Rattlesnake pressure reducing valve installation water project at a cost not to exceed $35,370.00

  • Recommended motion:

    Approve and authorize the Mayor to sign a professional services agreement with IMEG for N. 2nd and Cottonwood water main replacement at a cost not to exceed $85,140.00.

(State law and City Council rules set guidelines for inviting community comment in a formal way on certain issues.  Following a staff report on each item, the City Council and the Mayor invite community comment.  During COVID 19, the City Council is holding the public hearing open for a week and then voting the following week, unless there is a requirement for final action on the night of the public hearing. )  

  • Recommended motion:

    Adopt a resolution a resolution levying a special assessment and tax on the lots, pieces and parcels of land situated within Street Maintenance District #1 of the City of Missoula, Montana generally located in the downtown area in the amount of $135,543.00 for the purpose of defraying the cost of flushing and removing street rubbish from streets and avenues in the district during the fiscal year 2022.

  • Recommended motion:

    [Second and final reading] Adopt an ordinance amending Missoula Municipal Code Chapter 15.66 entitled “Development Impact Fee Procedures and Requirements” to change references throughout the chapter from “Development Services” to “Community Planning, Development and Innovation,” amend 15.66.020 and 15.66.030 to update the definition to “methodology reports” and provide a method for adoption, and amend 15.66.130 to change the membership requirements for the Impact Fee Advisory Committee to conform with state law

    Adopt a resolution of the Missoula City Council calling for a municipal government general election for Mayor and all wards, and three Municipal Court Judges to be held on November 2, 2021.
