Approval of the Minutes

Correction of minutes for February 3, 2021. The vote on Ms. Vasecka's gun resolution was YES-3, NO-8, ABSENT-1. Minutes are approved.

COMMITTEE BUSINESS

3.1

Contract with EPICC, LLC for renovations at the Catlin St. Police Facility

Jaeson White

Chief of Police Jaeson White requested approval for the Mayor to sign a contract for renovation of the Catlin Street police facility. Funding request is for $237,000. Funds will be used to add a locker room, shower and secured parking facility.

Chief Jaeson White gave an update on the roll-out the new 10/40 shift schedule which began February 1st. Results are exceptional. He states that it makes our ability to respond to incidents much greater and allows officers to engage in a lot more pro-active activity, and not just in enforcement, but also in more positive community contacts.
