4.1

Chris Rowe asked if anyone has thoughts about the number of alternates?

Scott McNall mentioned that he and Jeremy both served as alternates before serving as regular members. He finds value in having alternates serve.

Chris Rowe mentioned that serving as an alternate allowed him time to learn about this team and how the city functions.

Josh Nichols stated he can't think of any reasons not to have alternates.

Marty Rehbein clarified that the question is not if they should have alternates, but if they should have two alternates because the second alternates rarely has opportunities to vote. She stated that it is hard to fill open positions so having one alternate could be sufficient, unless they have members that are absent often.

Michael Dorshorst mentioned that perhaps they should think about this more and not make a decision today.
