Ms. Gaukler gave a broad overview of the request and projects.

Ms. Gaukler reviewed the information gathered from the most recent survey of Missoulians regarding open space expenditures.

Ms. Gaukler presented a map of the Clark Fork River Access and restoration project area.

Ms. Merritt asked how the process interfaces with Stormwater planning around the levy.

Ms. Gaukler discussed Missoula Trails and Trailheads.

Ms. Gaukler states they have been applying for grants on the Clark Fork project.

Ms. Gaukler presented the map for the Open Space reforestation project area.

Ms. Gaukler discussed the areas where trees would be planted for this project.

All projects will take roughly 2-4 years. Ms. Gaukler states the goal is to plant 3-4 trees for every 1 tree removed.

Ms. Harp asked exactly how much we will be spending on these projects.

    Set a public hearing for November 4, 2019, to consider a Resolution approving use of 2018 Open Space general obligation bonds for the initial capital improvement projects to certain open space lands as described in exhibits attached to the resolution
